Black Maternal Health Week

Black Maternal Health Week runs from April 11-17. The observance aims to raise awareness about the maternal health issues faced by Black women, who are more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes than other U.S. women, and to generate solutions to these health disparities.

Our research says that many Black women have experienced disrespectful pregnancy care, and providers are overwhelmed. It's a perfect storm where bias can flourish.
