Khadine Bennett

Khadine Bennett is a staff attorney and currently the Legal Fellow of the Reproductive Rights Project of the ACLU of Illinois. Khadine has been involved in the Project’s recent litigation and advocacy efforts, including the federal and state court challenges to the Illinois Parental Notice of Abortion Act and the Campaign for Reproductive Health and Access – an advocacy effort geared towards passing the Reproductive Health and Access Act (RHAA) – affirmative legislation that would assure all people in Illinois a continuum of information and choices throughout their reproductive lives including, responsible sexual health education, access to the full range of birth control options and prenatal care, and the right to choose abortion.

Khadine began her social justice career in the Bay Area and has worked as an organizer, program director, consultant and director of various human rights, juvenile justice, youth development and reproductive justice organizations including WILD for Human Rights, Youth Force Coalition and the California Abortion and Reproductive Rights Action League. Khadine has served on the board of the Third Wave Foundation, WILD for Human Rights, Exhale and is currently the co-chair of the Chicago Abortion Fund.
