Robin Marty

The state already requires the woman to look at an ultrasound before having an abortion.  Now, they want her to listen to a heartbeat, too.

The state of Louisiana is already forcing women who are undergoing pregnancy termination to first look at an ultrasound of the embryo or fetus.  But that must not be effective enough at deterring abortions.  So now, they want to make them listen to a heartbeat, too.

Louisiana Family Forum president Gene Mills says he’ll testify today for the measure. He says it provides women more information upon which to make their decision.
