North Carolina Senate to Vote Today on Veto Override of Abortion Laws

The House narrowly overrode the veto, and the senate is likely one vote from overriding, too.

North Carolina Governor Democrat Bev Perdue vetoed two anti-abortion bills last month, one making ultrasounds mandatory and one “Right to Know” informational act.

Tuesday, the House managed to override her veto, but today the Senate will be voting, and it all hinges on one vote.

Unfortunately, Republican leaders are already saying they have all the votes they need to override.  I guess we will see if that is true later today.
