Last week we reported on the lies being told about pro-choice Republican Rep. Heather Wilson in the New Mexico Senate primary. Last night, she lost to anti-choice Rep. Steve Pearce in the GOP primary. Pearce will face the highly favored Democrat Tom Udall. Wilson was thought to have a chance to keep the seat competitive, but in yet another sign of end times for the social conservative movement, most people believe this will be one more pick-up for the Senate Dems. Most importantly, it puts the divisive nature of anti-choice politics on display in a nationally watched Senate race, and should be an easy gain of one more pro-choice Senator.

The GOP is having a hard time shaking free of the extremists in their party.
