HB 709 would eliminate the provision in the Woman’s Right to Know Act (HB 15) that requires a 24-hour waiting period before an abortion can be performed, or a two-hour waiting period if the woman certifies that she lives 100 miles or more from the nearest abortion provider.

STATUS

Similar to HB 3744 and HB 35 which both failed to pass in 2013.
