HB 299 would decrease the amount of time that a health-care provider has to file an abortion report with the state.

Current law requires each abortion performed in the state to be reported to the office of vital records within ten days after the procedure by the person in charge of the institution in which the abortion was performed.

The bill would decrease the number of days from ten to seven.
