Reproductive Health Awareness

Full Bill Text

A 6221 would prohibit the state from denying a woman’s right to obtain an abortion as established by the United States Supreme Court in the decision Roe v. Wade. The bill protects a woman’s right to terminate a pregnancy within 24 weeks from commencement of her pregnancy, or when necessary to protect a woman’s life or health.

The bill is not meant to conflict with state or federal laws permitting health care providers to refrain from providing abortions due to their religious or moral beliefs.
