SB 338 would exclude emergency contraception from MO HealthNet—Missouri’s Medicaid program—family planning coverage, except in situations to protect the life of the pregnant person.

The bill defines “emergency contraception” to include any drug or device approved by the FDA that may cause the destruction of a human embryo.
