HB 1151 would prohibit a physician from performing an abortion on a pregnant person before 24 hours have elapsed since the pregnant person requested the physician to perform the abortion.

The mandatory 24-hour waiting period would not be required if two physicians with privileges at a state hospital certify in writing that the pregnant person’s life is in danger.
