HCR 71 is a resolution urging and requesting that Attorney General Jeff Landry to file an amicus brief in federal court to support Mississippi in that state’s litigation to ban elective abortions after fifteen weeks gestation.


Related Legislation

Companion resolution to SCR 81.

Resolution is in defense of Mississippi’s ban on abortions after 15 weeks, HB 1510. The law is currently blocked while it is being challenged in court (See Jackson Women’s Health Organization v. Currier).
