Louisiana Resolution Recognizing May 9, 2019, as ‘Bowties for Babies Day’ at the State Capital (HCR 54)
This law was last updated on May 21, 2019
HCR 54 is a concurrent resolution recognizing Thursday, May 9, 2019, as “Bowties for Babies Day” at the state capitol and commending the organizers and participants of the event that exists to help “create a culture of life” in Louisiana.
The resolution claims that there are more than 30 pregnancy centers (CPCs) across the state, yet “twenty-five women a day choose to abort their pregnancies.”
The resolution states:
WHEREAS, the Louisiana Right to Life Advertise for Life Project aims to reach women and connect them to pregnancy centers where they can find the support and help they need; and
WHEREAS, the goal of the Louisiana Right to Life Advertise for Life Project is to reach women in crisis pregnancies through online advertising that can connect them with one of the state’s pregnancy resource centers.
All proceeds of the event will benefit the Louisiana Right to Life Advertise for Life Project.
CPCs have come under increased scrutiny over the last several years, as investigations have revealed that centers across the country have provided inaccurate information and neglected to follow proper medical protocols. (Source.)
