HB 1316 would have required the state department to inspect abortion clinics at least once per year.

The bill also would have amended Indiana’s admitting privilege requirement (Indiana Code § 16-34-2-4.5) to remove the provision requiring a physician to enter into a transfer agreement with a physician who has admitting privileges at a local hospital, but leaving the provision requiring a physician to have admitting privileges at a hospital located in the county or contiguous county where the abortion is performed.
