SB 74 would amend current law related to the conduct of a hearing for the petition of an unemancipated minor seeking a waiver of the parental notification requirement for an abortion and appeal.

The bill would require the court to find “clear and convincing evidence” that either the minor is mature enough to make the decision on their own, or that the notice to a parent or guardian may not be in the best interest of the minor.
