Wendy Chavkin MD, MPH is professor of public health and obstetrics and gynecology at the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in New York City. She was a founding member and former Board Chair of Physicians for Reproductive Health, and co- founded Global Doctors for Choice in 2007 and is a member of its Global Steering Committee. Her most recent book is the Globalization of Motherhood: deconstructions and reconstructions of biology and care.
