Sara Castellano

Sara Castellano currently lives in Guatemala, where she runs a language school and is building an orphanage and shelter for domestic violence and trafficking victims. Originally from eastern North Carolina, she is a community organizer in her soul with specialties in reproductive justice and healthcare access. Always looking for new knowledge and experience, she’s also worked as a midwife, paramedic, teacher, accountant, and parenting coach, and has degrees in family counseling and education, culminating in a doctorate in business administration. She has 9 children, biological and adopted, ranging in age from 6 months to 23 years old, and a 1 month old granddaughter. When she isn’t working or with her family, she’s meeting new people and exploring the world around her.
