Peter Taback

San Francisco AIDS Foundation

Peter Taback is responsible for building external audiences and raising awareness about HIV and AIDS at one of the oldest and most widely respected HIV/AIDS service organizations in the United States. He previously served as Director of Communications at amfAR, the Foundation for AIDS Research in New York. Prior to becoming involved in public health, Peter served as speechwriter and media strategist to executives at the City University of New York and New York University and has held positions at the Rockefeller Foundation and the New York City Housing Authority. He earned his Ph.D. in English at the City University of New York and has taught at the City College of New York, New York University and Brooklyn College.
