Meghan Shalvoy

Meghan Shalvoy is a 22-year-old senior at Stony Brook University and President of the Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance at Stony Brook. Meghan’s decision to major in Women’s and Gender Studies at SBU was largely fueled by her desire to advocate for women’s reproductive rights, and through the WGS program has interned for Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic and New York State Senator Brian X. Foley. Graduating from SBU this December, she hopes to continue her studies in public health or midwifery, effecting reproductive justice through activism, quality programming in the non-profit sector, and effective public policy.
