As Senior Associate for Domestic Programs
at Catholics for Choice, Marissa Valeri focuses extensively on
cultivating and supporting a national network of advocates who work on
reproductive health and sexual rights issues from a Catholic perspective, and
encouraging prochoice Catholics to stand up and be heard in the public
discourse.  Through these efforts she assists state-level Catholic
legislators, progressive Catholics and prochoice advocates by connecting them
to like-minded individuals and organizations that can provide public support
for those that are attacked on the basis of their faith. 

Marissa also coordinates the international public health campaign,
Condoms4Life, which draws much-needed attention to the Vatican’s ban on condoms and
encourages people of all faiths to use condoms as part of a comprehensive HIV
prevention program.

Marissa lives in Maryland with her partner Nathan and her son
Xavi.
