Ibis Reproductive Health

Julia Matthews is a Project Manager for Ibis Reproductive Health. Based in the U.S. and South Africa, Ibis works to improve women's reproductive health, choices and autonomy worldwide. She also serves as the Executive Director of the Cervical Barrier Advancement Society which aims to raise the profile of cervical barrier methods for pregnancy prevention and provide information about research on the potential of cervical barriers to prevent sexually transmitted infections, including HIV. Prior to joining Ibis, she was the Senior Coordinator for the Reproductive Health Program at the Women's Commission for Refugee Women and Children in New York. In this position, she conducted reproductive health assessments in conflict-affected settings including Zambia, Thailand, Chad and Indonesia.
