Joanna Chiu

Joanna Chiu is a freelance writer from Canada who is currently living in New York doing a web editorial internship at The Nation magazine. Joanna has worked as a sexual health educator for Vancouver Coastal Health, where she visited hundreds of high school classrooms to facilitate workshops about safe sex, healthy relationships and gender stereotypes. Joanna is a member of Canada’s national sex workers’ advocacy group, FIRST Advocates, which supports the decriminalization of sex work. Joanna is also a columnist for sexlifecanada.ca and a regular contributor to Canada’s largest feminist magazine, Herizons. You can view Joanna’s full bio and writing portfolio at joannachiu.com.
