Jen Sorensen

Slowpoke Comics

Jen Sorensen is an award-winning cartoonist who draws Slowpoke every
week for publications around the country. Her work has appeared in the Village Voice, Ms. Magazine, Los Angeles Times, The American Prospect, and CampusProgress.org. She also maintains the SlowpokeBlog,
where she writes about her cartoons and the issues of the day. A
graduate of the University of Virginia, she has spoken at the first
annual ACLU convention, the Center for American Progress, the Rhode
Island School of Design, and the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles. Jen’s
latest book, a collection of several years of cartoons and commentary,
is entitled Slowpoke: One Nation, Oh My God!
