Francesca M. Maresca, Ph.D., is the Coordinator of Health Outreach, Promotion and Education at Rutgers University-New Brunswick, providing education, outreach, and prevention services related to sexual health, sexuality, relationships, social justice, mental health, body image and eating issues to the campus community. Francesca has trained students and professionals throughout NJ and NY in the areas of human sexuality, social justice, and LGBTQ issues with an emphasis on lesbian health issues. As an adjunct professor at the Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy, Francesca instructs courses with an emphasis on health education, health and social justice, community health promotion, health program development, and evaluation. Francesca received a B.A. in Political Science from Rutgers University – Newark, and both a M.A. in Gender Studies and a Ph.D. in Health, Human Sexuality, Marriage and Family Education from New York University.
