Dr. Sarp Aksel

Dr. Sarp Aksel is a resident physician in obstetrics and gynecology at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City. He works as a reproductive health advocate at the intersection of medicine, education, and social justice. He served as the president of the Board of Directors for Medical Students for Choice in 2013, and he currently sits on the board of Physicians for Reproductive Health. As a medical student, he worked to integrate preventive and public health training into medical education through his leadership at ECHO, New York City’s first student-run free clinic. Dr. Aksel graduated from Cornell University with a bachelor’s degree in biology and earned his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
