HealthGAP

Asia Russell is the Director of International Policy for Health GAP
(Global Access Project). Founded in 1999, Health GAP is a U.S. network
of people living with HIV, public health and human rights experts, and
academics working for universal access to affordable HIV treatment in
the global South, and the resources needed to fund access to treatment
for all. Health GAP’s campaigning and policy work over the last decade
has helped slash the prices of AIDS treatment in developing countries.
The group focuses on the impact of U.S. and other G8 countries’
policies on the availability of treatment and care in the developing
world, and engages grassroots communities of people with AIDS and
their allies in the U.S. and around the world to advocate for AIDS
treatment access for all.
