The drumbeat for a Hillary Clinton 2016 presidential run continues with more enthusiasm for the idea coming once again from House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.
Pelosi is upbeat about the prospects for a female president in her lifetime, namely her friend Hillary Rodham Clinton.
“Why wouldn’t she run? She’s a magnificent secretary of state,” Pelosi said when asked about Clinton’s prospects in 2016. “She’s our shot” that year, Pelosi said.

Pelosi has been an unabashed Clinton supporter in recent months, and she’s not the only one. New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand has also backed the Secretary of State and encouraged her to consider another presidential run, and even Clinton’s husband has said she should make a go of it.
As for the Secretary of State herself, she’s still sticking to her vow to leave public life at the end of 2012.
