Federal Appeals Court Rejects Effort by Texas to Block Planned Parenthood Funding

A federal appeals court today rejected the state of Texas’ efforts to block women’s access to preventive health care at Planned Parenthood health centers while a lawsuit on the issue proceeds.

A federal appeals court today rejected the state of Texas’ efforts to block women’s access to preventive health care at Planned Parenthood health centers while a lawsuit on the issue proceeds.

Earlier this week, a Fifth Circuit Judge blocked an injunction protecting funding while the case proceeded.

In response to the decision, Cecile Richards, president of the Planned Parenthood Action Fund stated:
