Santorum Donor Says Women Should ‘Put Aspirin Between Their Knees’

Michael Hayne

Foster Friess, Rick Santorum’s chief political benefactor and main donor to the Super PAC backing Rick Santorum’s presidential bid told Andrea Mitchell of MSNBC that women should just “keep their legs shut.”

Even though the crop of candidates seeking the Republican nomination are mostly misogynist a-holes that make Chris Carter look like John Stuart Mill (no relation to comedian host), Rick Santorum’s words and actions, both during his stint in the Senate and on the campaign trail, demonstrate total contempt for women. So it’s only natural that Foster Friess, Mr. Frothy’s chief political benefactor and main donor to the Super PAC backing Rick Santorum’s presidential bid, would have an even lower opinion of women.

Putting on his best Archie Bunker impression (only without the endearing redeemable qualities) and perhaps looking to be forever alone on Valentine’s Day, Friess vehemently dismissed the controversy surrounding Barack Obama’s  contraception rule and told Andrea Mitchell of MSNBC that women should just “keep their legs shut.” Friess didn’t quite stop suggesting potential lyrics for Lil’ Wayne, however.

”On this contraceptive thing, my gosh, it’s so inexpensive. You know, back in my days, they used Baer Aspirin for contraceptives. The gals put it between their knees and it wasn’t that costly,” said Friess on MSNBC yesterday.

Unless of course you’re a complete moron, aspirin is as much a form of contraception as is not a form of contraception as coca-cola.  So one can only conclude that Friess is implying that aspirin will help women keep their legs closed. Not surprisingly, Friess gives guys a free pass ( the NFL and NBA must be happy) and doesn’t impose this same onerous burden on them. Perhaps Friess should be managing the reelection campaign of Iran’s Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
