FBI Looking for Tips on Clinic Terrorism In Michigan

The group is still looking for suspects in a suspicious package that damaged a clinic last month.

The FBI has offered a $1000 reward for any information that may lead to a suspect in a clinic assault in July in Detroit, Michigan.

Via the Detroit Free Press:

The package, according to a news release from the FBI, caused damage to the building, located at 15801 W. McNichols. The package was left sometime after 1:30 p.m. July 16 and before 8:30 a.m. July 18, according to the FBI.

According to the center’s Web site, the center is an abortion clinic and provides gynecological services, STD testing and birth control option counseling.

The damage may constitute a violation of the 1994 Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act, which “makes it a federal crime to injure, intimidate or interfere with those seeking to obtain or provide reproductive health care services,” according to the FBI.

The upswing in clinic damages has become frightening as of late.  Recently a Texas Planned Parenthood was also the subject of an arson attempt.  No one was hurt in either incident.
