Wanted Dead, NOT Alive

Wanted Dead, NOT Alive” was clearly the intended message promoted by anti-choice protesters as they literally targeted doctors who provided women with abortion services, through their dissemination of Wild West type “Wanted Posters.”

Wanted Dead, NOT Alive” was clearly the intended message promoted by anti-choice protesters as they literally targeted doctors who provided women with abortion services, through their dissemination of Wild West type “Wanted Posters.”

After more than a decade, the Supreme Court finally put an end to this vigilante behavior by denying yet another appeal by the American Coalition of Life Activists and their attorneys from the “Thomas More Law Center.” What this essentially means is that the Supremes, once again, acknowledged that these protesters must pay damages for blatantly violating the United States Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) law, “…which makes it illegal to incite violence and threaten abortion doctors.”

Like with any clinic protection law, FACE was simply designed to balance the rights of free speech with the right to provide and access health care free from bodily harm and intimidation.  The attorney representing Planned Parenthood said it best, "This case has never been about the money. It's about protecting doctors' lives.”
